Description

<p>Documentation and Development: The AMP was initially being developed as part the Advanced Integrated Clinical System (AICS)-Guided Medical Procedure System for the Constellation Program. The Exploration Medical Capability (ExMC) team generated an Operational Concept (OpsCon) document and, subsequently, a set of functional and technical requirements. All of these documents were reviewed and approved by the Johnson Space Center Space Medicine Configuration Control Board in 2009 and 2010, respectively. These documents were then archived when the Constellation Program was canceled in 2010.</p><p> </p><p>Fiscal Year 2012 (FY12) brought the start of the EMSD project and the initial development of the AMP. ExMC generated a new OpsCon document for the AMP to reflect how it would be used for the EMSD. This document was approved by the ExMC Advisory Board and then used to generate functional and technical requirements. These requirements were reviewed by the ExMC Advisory Board and during the EMSD’s System Requirements Review in March 2012. The ExMC Team then used the finalized requirements to determine that a product made by software developers within NASA was applicable. The product, a system called WebPD, has architecture relevant to the EMSD project and is being modified for integration with potential EMSD components. The approach for modifying and integrating the AMP into the EMSD was finalized during the EMSD Preliminary Design Review in June 2013. The AMP, along with other EMSD components, is being prepared for the ground phase of the EMSD, which is currently set for June 2014.</p><p> </p><p>Conclusion: The work by the ExMC team over the past year has enabled them to (1) identify a software system that can be modified to become the AMP system for the EMSD and (2) begin modifying the AMP for integration with other EMSD components. This work immediately addresses CPR Risks #17 and #23 and enables ExMC to better address CPR Risks #17, #20, #22, and #23 in the coming fiscal year.</p><p> </p><p>The objectives for FY14 are to (1) generate the first iteration of the AMP and (2) conduct an evaluation of this AMP’s capability in an analog environment that mimics an exploration-class mission.</p><p> </p>

Description

This is AIRS-CloudSat collocated subset, in NetCDF 4 format. These data contain collocated: AIRS Level 1b radiances spectra, CloudSat radar reflectivities, and MODIS cloud mask. These data are created within the frames of the MEaSUREs project. The basic task is to bring together retrievals of water vapor and cloud properties from multiple "A-train" instruments (AIRS, AMSR-E, MODIS, AMSU, MLS, CloudSat), classify each "scene" (instrument look) using the cloud information, and develop a merged, multi-sensor climatology of atmospheric water vapor as a function of altitude, stratified by the cloud classes. This is a large science analysis project that will require the use of SciFlo technologies to discover and organize all of the datasets, move and cache datasets as required, find space/time "matchups" between pairs of instruments, and process years of satellite data to produce the climate data records. The short name for this collection is AIRS_CPR_MAT Parameters contained in the data files include the following: Variable Name|Description|Units CldFrcStdErr|Cloud Fraction|(None) CloudLayers| Number of hydrometeor layers| (count) CPR_Cloud_mask| CPR Cloud Mask| (None) DEM_elevation| Digital Elevation Map| (m) dust_flag|Dust Flag|(None) latAIRS|AIRS IR latitude|(deg) Latitude|CloudSat Latitude |(degrees) LayerBase| Height of Layer Base| (m) LayerTop| Height of layer top| (m) lonAIRS|AIRS IR longitude|(deg) Longitude|CloudSat Longitude| (degrees) MODIS_cloud_flag| MOD35_bit_2and3_cloud_flag| (None) Radar_Reflectivity| Radar Reflectivity Factor| (dBZe) radiances|Radiances|(milliWatts/m**2/cm**-1/steradian) Sigma-Zero| Sigma-Zero| (dB*100) spectral_clear_indicator|Spectral Clear Indicator|(None) Vertical_binsize|CloudSat vertical binsize| (m) End of parameter information

The Emergency Shelter Grants (ESG) program is designed to identify sheltered and unsheltered homeless persons, as well as those at risk of homelessness, and provide the services necessary to help those persons quickly regain stability in permanent housing after experiencing a housing crisis and/or homelessness. The ESG is a non-competitive formula grant awarded to recipients which are state governments, large cities, urban counties, and U.S. territories. Recipients make these funds available to eligible sub-recipients, which can be either local government agencies or private nonprofit organizations. The recipient agencies and organizations, which actually run the homeless assistance projects, apply for ESG funds to the governmental grantee, and not directly to HUD.

Description

We propose a next-generation cloud-based social media visual analytics disaster response system that will enable decision-makers and first-responders to obtain real-time analytics (both descriptive and predictive) for situational awareness and early-warning. Social media sites like Twitter and Facebook provide rapid "sensory" feedback from "human sensors" – the millions of people on the ground including those affected by the disaster as well as hundreds of first-responders and relief organizations. The problem is that this social media data can be overwhelming and noisy (lots of irrelevant stuff). Our proposed innovation is to combine and analyze this social media unstructured "big-data", together with other structured data from a variety of sources including NASA. The emphasis is on visual analytics which will allow all these diverse geospatial data to be integrated and analyzed on a real-time basis in an intuitive manner. We utilize geobrowsers such as COAST, Google Earth, and OpenStreetMap for display of the output of the visual analytics prediction system. This is an interactive system which enables the relevant users and decision-makers to provide input to the analytics process as the solution evolves.

A joint venture involving the National Atlas programs in Canada (Natural Resources Canada), Mexico (Instituto Nacional de Estadística Geografía e Informática), and the United States (U.S. Geological Survey), as well as the North American Commission for Environmental Co-operation, has led to the release (June 2004) of several new products: an updated paper map of North America, and its associated geospatial data sets and their metadata. These data sets are available online from each of the partner countries both for visualization and download. The North American Atlas data are standardized geospatial data sets at 1:10,000,000 scale. A variety of basic data layers (e.g. roads, railroads, populated places, political boundaries, hydrography, bathymetry, sea ice and glaciers) have been integrated so that their relative positions are correct. This collection of data sets forms a base with which other North American thematic data may be integrated. Any data outside of Canada, Mexico, and the United States of America included in the North American Atlas data sets is strictly to complete the context of the data. The North American Atlas - Glaciers data set shows areas of permanent ice found on the North America landmass including Greenland, and also shows areas of land found within glaciers. No distinction is made between major glaciers, ice fields, and the Greenland ice cap. The only permanent ice shown on land areas outside of North America and Greenland is on Iceland.

A collection of over 75 charts and maps presenting key statistics on the farm sector, food spending and prices, food security, rural communities, the interaction of agriculture and natural resources, and more. How much do you know about food and agriculture? What about rural America or conservation? ERS has assembled more than 75 charts and maps covering key information about the farm and food sectors, including agricultural markets and trade, farm income, food prices and consumption, food security, rural economies, and the interaction of agriculture and natural resources. How much, for example, do agriculture and related industries contribute to U.S. gross domestic product? Which commodities are the leading agricultural exports? How much of the food dollar goes to farmers? How do job earnings in rural areas compare with metro areas? How much of the Nation’s water is used by agriculture? These are among the statistics covered in this collection of charts and maps—with accompanying text—divided into the nine section titles.

This Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) dataset is a survey of northern San Francisco Bay, California. The project area consists of approximately 437 square miles in portions of seven California counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, Solano, and Sonoma. The project design of the LiDAR data acquisition was developed to support a nominal post spacing of 1 meter. Fugro EarthData, Inc. acquired 147 flight lines in nine lifts on February 25, 26, and 28; March 1, 24, and 26; and April 3, 15, and 16, 2010. The data was divided into 1500 by 1500 meter cells that serve as the tiling scheme. LiDAR data collection was performed with a Piper Navajo twin engine aircraft, utilizing a Leica ALS60 MPiA sensor, collecting multiple return x, y, and z as well as intensity data. LiDAR data is remotely sensed high-resolution elevation data collected by an airborne collection platform. This data of northern San Francisco Bay, California, is classified according to the ASPRS classification scheme and was collected at sufficient resolution to provide a nominal point spacing of 1 m for collected points. Up to 4 returns were recorded for each pulse in addition to an intensity value.

The Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) is the codification of the general and permanent rules published in the Federal Register by the executive departments and agencies of the Federal Government. It is divided into 50 titles that represent broad areas subject to Federal regulation. Each print volume of the CFR is updated once each calendar year, and is issued on a quarterly basis. Bulk data downloads of Code of Federal Regulations files in XML format are available from 1996 to the present, by year, title, and volume. The current XML data set is not yet an official format of the Code of Federal Regulations. Only the PDF and Text versions have legal status as parts of the official online format of the Code of Federal Regulations. The XML-structured files are derived from SGML-tagged data and printing codes, which may produce anomalies in display. In addition, the XML data does not yet include image files. Users who require a higher level of assurance may wish to consult the official version of the Code of Federal Regulations on FDsys.gov. The FDsys data set includes digitally signed Code of Federal Regulations PDF files, which may be relied upon as evidence in a court of law.
