This asset includes an inventory of program policy and guidance documents that are used by the EPA regions, states, tribes and private parties to implement the Superfund program. This collection of documents currently exists in two primary places - the Superfund Enterprise Management System (SEMS) and on the Superfund public website. Eventually all of the documents will be placed in SEMS, which is the official recordkeeping system of the program. This asset also includes contract management information relevant to non-site-specific OSRTI contracts.

Current Medicare payment policy for outpatient laboratory services is outdated. Future reforms, such as competitive bidding, should consider the characteristics of the laboratory market. To inform payment policy, we analyzed the structure of the national market for Medicare Part B clinical laboratory testing, using a 5 percent sample of 2006 Medicare claims data. The independent laboratory market is dominated by two firms, Quest Diagnostics and Laboratory Corporation of America. The hospital outreach market is not as concentrated as the independent laboratory market. Two subgroups of Medicare beneficiaries, those with end stage renal disease and those residing in nursing homes, are each served in separate laboratory markets. Despite the concentrated independent laboratory market structure, national competitive bidding for non patient laboratory tests could result in cost savings for Medicare.

The 2011 Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) dataset contains the most current TRI data available and reflects toxic chemical releases and pollution prevention activities that occurred at TRI facilities during the 2011 calendar year. You can use this dataset to find out what TRI-covered toxic chemicals are being produced and used at industrial facilities in your local area and how they are being managed. Please note that this dataset will change as the TRI Program continues to process TRI submissions. The TRI Program provides this dataset annually in late July to give the public an opportunity to see the most recent TRI information prior to the publication of the TRI National Analysis report in December. To view National Analysis reports from previous years, please consult TRI's archive of National Analysis data at http://www.epa.gov/tri/.

The Digital Flood Insurance Rate Map (DFIRM) Database depicts flood risk information and supporting data used to develop the risk data. The primary risk classifications used are the 1-percent-annual-chance flood event, the 0.2-percent-annual- chance flood event, and areas of minimal flood risk. The DFIRM Database is derived from Flood Insurance Studies (FISs), previously published Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs), flood hazard analyses performed in support of the FISs and FIRMs, and new mapping data, where available. The FISs and FIRMs are published by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Spatial data is georeferenced to the earth surface using the Transverse Mercator projected coordinate system and the North American Datum of 1983. The specifications for the horizontal control of DFIRM data files are consistent with those required for mapping at a scale of 1:6000.

RECS is a national survey that collects residential energy-related data. The survey collected data from 4,381 households in housing units statistically selected to represent the 111.1 million housing units in the United States. Data were obtained from residential energy suppliers for each unit in the sample to produce the data.
