Proportion of the area of developed land that is vacant or derelict. The total area of developed land is the area recorded for the relevant local authority for 2001 in the urban land figures published in the Urban Settlements report by DCLG. The National Land Use Database of Previously-Developed Land (NLUD-PDL) contains a typology of previously developed land covering a number of different categories including vacant and derelict land.
