This open data set is the name index to the correspondence of the Colonial Secretary of Queensland 1859 to 1861. The Colonial Secretary was responsible for most functions of government, and the correspondence reflects the early activities of the Queensland Government including immigration, land orders, police including native police, Courts of Petty Sessions, local governments, prisons, hospitals, aliens, education, aborigines, legislative matters, military establishments, foreign correspondence etc.
