Description
The Legal Services Commission is responsible for delivering, through high quality service providers, legal aid, advice and representation to people with problems in England and Wales. We deliver legal services through two schemes: the Community Legal Service (CLS) and the Criminal Defence Service (CDS): • The CLS is a network of organisations which funds, provides and promotes civil legal advice and representation • The CDS provides legal advice and representation to people being investigated or charged with a criminal offence.
