Summary
Description
Peterborough City Council believes that it should be transparent about where money is spent. This information will improve transparency for residents, who provide much of the funding to the council through council tax payments. The data shows individual payments with a value over £500 made to suppliers each month. This allows residents to see what the council spends its money on. The information excludes payments to individuals such as council tax refunds and benefit payments. The payment amounts include VAT where applicable. The data shows three indicators of the purpose for which the payment has been made (two for the service and one for the type of payment). The data also gives the name of the supplier. Where the payment is to an individual, such as a foster parent, the name of the supplier has been replaced with the words ‘redacted personal data’ to protect the privacy of the individual concerned.
