Summary
Description
A total of 230 environmental profiles were acquired during the Southeast Area Monitoring and Assessment Program (SEAMAP) summer groundfish survey of the Western and North-central Gulf of Mexico conducted during June and July 2006 and aboard the NOAA Ship Oregon II. The profiles were acquired between the 5 and 60 fathom isobaths at stations located east of the Mississippi River and in the area of Brownsville, Texas eastward to the Louisiana Bight. Maximum water depths recorded in the profile headers range from 8.8 to 245.0 meters with an average maximum depth of 39.7 meters. The survey is a stratified random design with depth interval, NMFS Statistical Subareas 11 through 21 and day and night as strata. The data were processed into 1 meter average depth bins of water temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen (DO), DO percent saturation, fluorescence, transmittance, density, and number of data records. The profiles were quality controlled during and after the cruise.
