What are the characteristics of these vessels? The vessel information (i.e., length, age, horsepower, etc.) is significant to identify accurately the universe of vessels to facilitate scientific assessments of annual fishing effort.The vessel information is useful for designing a statistically robust data collection program to canvass or randomly sample the activities of fishing vessels.
