Horry County has coordinated with DHEC OCRM to fully inventory, analyze, and documenteach of the ten required elements for an approvable local comprehensive beach managementplan. The plan also identifies and discusses the economic and social benefits, issues andopportunities, and local, state and federal policies and authorities related to the managementand protection of the Horry County beachfront. This local beach management plan representsthe foundation for a comprehensive, longrange, and enforceable local management strategy forthe beachfront area of Horry County.
