Summary
Description
This report provides an overview of the Washoe Project Act. Trout populations in Pyramid Lake began to decline in the 1930s due to poor water quality and poor accessibility to spawning areas in the Truckee River. A stocking program began in 1954, and a plan is under study to partially restore the fishery of Pyramid Lake through natural propagation in Truckee River.
