Description

A January 1983 survey observed 5,641 caribou in 227 separate groups. The largest group was a loose assemblage of 420 animals observed between Outer marker and Grant Point road. The average group size was 24.9 caribou. The counts were consistent with a subsequent, partial survey of the same area in December 1983.
