Description
The NOAA's Office of Satellite and Data Distribution (OSDPD) generates geostationary sea surface temperature (SST) products. These products are derived from NOAA's Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellites (GOES) and Japan's Multi-functional Transport Satellite 1 Replacement (MTSAT-1R). They are available for the coastal United States including Alaska and Hawaii. Available products include GOES CoastWatch Regional SST, GOES Hourly SST Matchup, GOES Hourly SST, GOES 24-hourly SST, GOES 3-hourly SST, GOES CoastWatch Sectors SST (3-hour), GOES SST Daily Frontal Product, Blended SST 5-km Daily Product, Blended SST 11-km Daily Product, Meteosat Hourly SST Matchup, Meteosat 1-hour averaging SST, Meteosat 24-hour averaging SST, Meteosat 3-hour averaging SST, MTSAT Hourly SST Matchup, MTSAT Hourly SST, MTSAT 24-hourly SST, and Blended SST Night-only 5-km Daily Products. Data are output as binary at 6 km resolution.
