Description

the System for Management Analysis and Resource Tracking (SMART) is a business intelligence (BI) capable application that will provide decision support for effective DHS governance and alignment of resources with mission, programs, and strategic objectives. SMART will be an integrated governance tool for the Chief Information Officer (CIO), Chief Procurement Officer (CPO), and the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) who are known collectively as CXO. SMART will serve as a decision support and management intelligence tool for the entire Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) lifecycle in support of DHS leadership, CXO executives, and Component leadership. The ultimate result will be analytic support for all segments of the PPBE process, as well s direct support for Periodic Reporting and the Exhibits 300 and 53 documents used in such segments as the RAP and RAD
