Description

The GIS REST service for "Precautionary Areas in U.S. Waters" provides raster maps of precautionary areas which are defined as A routing measure comprising an area within defined limits where ships must navigate with particular caution and within which the direction of traffic flow may be recommended. These areas are derived from NOAA's Electronic Navigational Charts. This serivce is a cartographic representation of marine source data based on S-57 data format and content specification
