Description

The dataset contains satellite-derived wind speed and wind direction measurements collected by means of the SSM/I microwave radiometer onboard the NOAA DMSP satellite constellation. The data is available at 3-day and weekly intervals at a spatial resolution of 0.25 degrees. The geographic coverage is global, and the temporal coverage ranges from 2004-2009.
