Description

The current administrative boundary of Glacier National Park, Montana. This data is based on 1:24000 scale USGS quad mapping published in 1968, but was revised in 2003 to reflect a 1972 transfer of land ownership from the Burlington Northern/Santa Fe (BNSF) railroad to Glacier National Park (PL 92-272). The park's southeastern corner, adjacent to BNSF railroad mileposts 1138 at East Glacier through 1144 near Marias Pass, were affected.
