Popis

The Floodplain Mapping study deliverables depict and quantify the flood risks for Oregon County, MO. The City of Thayer and the Missouri State Emergency Management Agency, expressed concerns with the Special Flood Hazard Areas (SFHA) of Warm Fork Spring River and Two Mile Creek in the vicinity of the City of Thayer shown on the October 19, 2005 DFIRM for Oregon County, And Incorporated Areas, MO. The hydraulic models were reviewed and found to contain mixed English and Metric units of measurement. Corrections to the models resulted in reductions to the Zone A SFHA for these two flood sources. The Zone A SFHA of Warm Fork Spring River has been reduced from the confluence of Helms Hollow, downstream to the southern most edge of panel 29149C0470E and the Zone A SFHA of Two Mile Creek has been reduced from the old US Route 63 Bridge, near Maple Street downstream to the confluence with Warm Fork Spring River.
