Popis
The Southern Great Plains Atmospheric Radiation Measurement Site (SGP-ARM) is the oldest and largest of DOE's Arm sites. It was established in 1992. It consists of in situ and remote-sensing instrument clusters arrayed across approximately 143,000 square kilometers in north-central Oklahoma. Over a hundred instruments ranging from carbon dioxide flux measurements to advanced cloud radars can be found across the site. Besides maintaining the site, ANL provides instrument mentors to support users. ANL also coordinates ARM instruments across all the DOE ARM sites.
