My HealtheVet (MHV) is VA's award-winning online Personal Health Record (PHR), located at www.myhealth.va.gov. The mission of MHV is to transform the delivery of health and health care for all Veterans, independent of where they receive care, by providing one-stop, online access to better manage their overall health, make informed health decisions, and record and store important health and military history information. MHV provides access to VA health care and information 24/7 through web-based tools that empower Veterans to become active partners in their health care. MHV registrants can click a 'Blue Button' on the website to view, print or download their available personal health information and military service information. They can choose to share that information with other providers, caregivers, family members or job advocates safely, securely, and privately. Web technology combines essential health record information enhanced by online health resources. This enables and encourages patient/clinician collaboration. The online environment maps closely to existing clinical business practices and extends management and delivery of care. MHV allows VA patients to request and receive VA prescription refills and provides a blended history of VA and self-entered medications. Registrants whose personal identities have been verified as VA patients can receive copies of select VA electronic health records, including VA Appointments, Chemistry/Hematology Lab Results, Allergies and Wellness Reminders. Many VA patients are communicating with their participating health care teams through Secure Messaging.

The MODIS Surface Reflectance products provide an estimate of the surface spectral reflectance as it would be measured at ground level in the absence of atmospheric scattering or absorption. Low-level data are corrected for atmospheric gases and aerosols, yielding a level-2 basis for several higher-order gridded level-2 (L2G) and level-3 products. Information on each individual MODIS Platform/Product are available at: https://lpdaac.usgs.gov/lpdaac/products/modis_products_table

Description
This map layer portrays 1982 estimates for total personal income, per capita personal income, annual number of full-time and part-time jobs, average wage per job in dollars, population, and per capita number of jobs, for counties in the United States. Total personal income is all the income that is received by, or on behalf of, the residents of a particular area. It is calculated as the sum of wage and salary disbursements, other labor income, proprietors' income with inventory valuation and capital consumption adjustments, rental income of persons with capital consumption adjustment, personal dividend income, personal interest income, and transfer payments to persons, minus personal contributions for social insurance. Per capita personal income is calculated as the total personal income of the residents of a county divided by the resident population of the county. The Census Bureau's annual midyear population estimates were used in the computation. The average annual number of full-time and part-time jobs includes all jobs for which wages and salaries are paid, except jury and witness service and paid employment of prisoners. The jobs are counted at equal weight, and employees, sole proprietors, and active partners are all included. Unpaid family workers and volunteers are not included. Average wage per job is the wage and salary disbursements divided by the number of wage and salary jobs in the county. Wage and salary disbursements consist of the monetary remuneration of employees, including the compensation of corporate officers; commissions, tips, and bonuses; and receipts in kind, or pay-in-kind, such as the meals furnished to the employees of restaurants. It reflects the amount of payments disbursed, but not necessarily earned during the year. Per capita number of jobs is calculated as the average annual number of full-time and part-time jobs in a county divided by the resident population of the county. The Census Bureau's annual midyear population estimates were used in the computation. All dollar estimates are in current dollars, not adjusted for inflation. The information in this map layer comes from the Regional Economic Information System (REIS) that is distributed by the Bureau of Economic Analysis, http://www.bea.gov/. This is an updated version of the November 2004 map layer.

Northeastern Regional Association of Coastal Ocean Observing Systems (NERACOOS) Sensor Observation Service (SOS) The OCEANS IE -- formally approved as an OGC Interoperability Experiment in December 2006 -- engages data managers and scientists in the Ocean-Observing community to advance their understanding and application of various OGC specifications, solidify demonstrations for Ocean Science application areas, harden software implementations, and produce candidate OGC Best Practices documents that can be used to inform the broader ocean-observing community. Because of the nature of SOS requests, requests for data MUST include constraints for the longitude, latitude, time, and/or station_id variables. Initiators: SURA (lead), Texas A&M University, MBARI, GoMOOS and Unidata. Specific goals: * Compare Sensor Observation Service (SOS) from the OGC's Sensor Web Enablement (SWE) initiative to the Web Feature Service (WFS) as applied to ocean data in a variety of data formats including text files, netCDF files, relational databases, and possibly native sensor output; (see Experiment #1 for details) * Make use of semantic mediation via Semantic Web technologies to allow plurality of identification for source types (platforms and sensors) and phenomena types; * Test aggregation services and caching strategies to provide efficient queries; * Explore possible enhancements of THREDDS server, so that THREDDS resident data sources might be made available via SOS or WFS;

NOAA CoastWatch distributes near real time wind stress data in zonal, meridional, modulus, and wind stress curl sets. This data begins with wind velocity measurements from the ASCAT instrument onboard EUMETSAT's METOP satellite. ASCAT is a microwave scatterometer designed to measure surface winds over the global ocean. NOAA CoastWatch processes wind velocity to wind stress and wind stress curl.

Description
This digital dataset represents the surface hydrogeology of an approximately 45,000 square-kilometer area of the Death Valley regional ground-water flow system (DVRFS) in southern Nevada and California. Faunt and others (2004) constructed the map by merging mapped lithostratigraphic units into 27 hydrogeologic units (HGUs). The HGUs represent rocks and deposits of considerable lateral extent and distinct hydrologic properties. The hydrogeologic map was fundamental to the development of a hydrogeologic framework model and a transient ground-water flow model of the DVRFS. These models are the most recent in a number of regional-scale models developed by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to support investigations at the Nevada Test Site (NTS) and at Yucca Mountain, Nevada (see "Larger Work Citation", Chapter A, page 8).
