As part of its commitment to greater transparency, the Government publishes salary information for the Senior Civil Service and organograms for all government departments. The information provides a snapshot of the department as at 31 March 2014. The Cabinet Office is presenting the information in a standardised format and so our organogram may not always reflect our activity hierarchy.* What we are publishing: •An organogram of DCMS to deputy director level. Below this, staff numbers are summarised by grade. It includes fixed term appointments, staff on loan or secondment in to DCMS and staff on paid maternity leave but excludes agency staff, consultants and specialist contractors. •A dataset showing individual names and salary information (in bands of £5,000) for SCS Pay Bands 2-4. Names and salary details for staff in grades SCS1 and 1A are not disclosed, but job titles are. •A dataset providing summary information for more junior posts. *DCMS operates a matrix organisation structure with staff reporting to a Development Manager and an Activity Manager. The organogram generated here is based on Development Manager structure and therefore may not always reflect the activity hierarchy of the Department. ..

Description
This release replaces the previous annual and quarterly publications Control of Immigration Statistics and the annual British Citizenship, following a public consultation. Each topic now has its own entry, links to these related reports can be found under the "additional links" section. This briefing generally refers to total numbers of people, including dependants, removed and departing voluntarily, which are referred to here as ‘departing’. While individuals removed at port have not necessarily entered the country, their removal requires action by UK Border Agency, such as being placed on a return flight, and are therefore included unless stated otherwise.
