This annual narrative report for Mark Twain National Wildlife Refuge summarizes Refuge activities during the 1994 calendar year for the Complex Headquarters, the Wapello District including the Louisa Division, the Big Timber Division, the Keithsburg Division, and the Horseshoe Bend Division, the Annada District including Clarence Cannon NWR, the Delair Division, the Gardner Division, and the Gregory Landing Division, and the Brussels District including the Calhoun Division, the Batchtown Division, the Gilbert Lake Division, and the Portage Islands Group. The report begins with a summary of the years highlights and climatic conditions. Land acquisition is also covered. The report includes a planning section which discusses the master plan, the management plan, public participation, compliance with environmental and cultural resource mandates, research, and investigations.
