Description
The names of holders of victuallers’ licenses (publicans) were printed in the Queensland Government Gazette from 1901 to 1914 on an annual basis. This index lists information that may be useful for family history or general history research, including names, dates, districts and hotel names. The index currently covers the period from 1900 to 1903. The Queensland Government Gazette can be located on microfilm at MFL 328.943 and on microfiche at FICHE/B 328.943 QUE on Level 3 of the State Library of Queensland at South Bank, Brisbane. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander material is accessed and used in accordance with State Library's Protocols for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Collections. Members of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities are advised that collections and records may contain names and images of deceased people. Users should also be aware that certain words, terms or descriptions may be culturally sensitive and may be considered inappropriate today, but may have reflected the author's/creator's attitude or that of the period in which they were written.

In the period 1890 to 1915, the appointments and removals of Queensland railway employees were listed annually in the Queensland Legislative Assembly Votes & Proceedings. This index collects the names of those employees together with information about locations and job roles. The original copies of Queensland Legislative Assembly Votes & Proceedings used to create these indexes can be located on microfilm at MFL 328.943 on Level 3 of the State Library of Queensland at South Bank Brisbane. The Queensland Parliamentary Papers for records from 1902 onward are also available on microfilm at MFL 328.9431.

It provides the map base for systems dealing with land related information. The DCDB is considered to be the point of truth for the graphical representation of property boundaries. It is not the point of truth for the legal property boundary or related attribute information, this will always be the plan of survey or the related titling information and administrative data sets. This data series includes datasets showing current full and part local government area drought declarations and duration of historic drought declarations across Queensland. Drought declarations are made by the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries based on the advice of Local Drought Committees (LDCs). LDCs will recommend a declaration when an area meets the Queensland Government's drought criteria, principally a one in 10 year rainfall deficiency, amongst other significant factors.
