This data type contains data from analyses of seabed oxygen consumption determined from measurements over a specified time interval of initial and final dissolved oxygen concentration. Cruise information, position, date, time, number of replicates (repeat measurements), bottom depth, temperature, dissolved oxygen concentration and oxygen saturation are reported for each experiment. General environmental information may include meteorological and sea surface conditions, water transparency, elapsed time, initial dissolved oxygen concentration, final dissolved oxygen concentration, oxygen consumption and weight percent organic matter are reported for each replicate. Data on water column respiration (e.g., oxygen concentration, oxygen consumed or produced) may also be reported.

ESI data characterize coastal environments and wildlife by their sensitivity to spilled oil. The ESI data include information for three main components: shoreline habitats; sensitive biological resources; and human-use resources. These data are from a single DVD product that is a re-release of Puerto Rico ESI data that was originally a 2 CD-ROM set. These are the data that were used to create the May 2000 hard copy Puerto Rico ESI atlas. This updated product was released in December 2006. The new DVD product was produced in large part to accommodate new and ever changing technologies in the world of digital mapping. The data are now included in a Geodatabase format, for use with ESRIs ArcGIS product line. An .mxd file, also included, has the geodatabase feature classes symbolized with standard ESI colors and hatch patterns and relates are pre-established to the ESI data tables. However, the original AVPROJ, MOSS files, and documentation are still included as part of the product. Source data dates vary and range from 1954-1998, and are documented in the METADATA files. The original (Puerto Rico) PDFs have been modified so that the seasonality, or back of the map, pages are a part of each map document. This will make it easier to distribute and print individual maps and ensure that the supporting information is always included. The original product data was archived at NODC under the accesion number 0006584.

NODC Accession 0116564 includes biological, chemical, discrete sample, physical and profile data collected from RYOFU MARU in the North Pacific Ocean from 2012-07-26 to 2012-09-13 and retrieved during cruise RF12-06（40N）. These data include ALKALINITY, CHLOROPHYLL A, DISSOLVED INORGANIC CARBON, DISSOLVED OXYGEN, HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE, NITRATE, NITRITE, PHAEOPHYTIN, PHOSPHATE, SALINITY, SILICATE, WATER TEMPERATURE and pH. The instruments used to collect these data include CTD and bottle. These data were collected by Hitomi Kamiya and Kazuhiro Nemoto of Japan Meteorological Agency; Pollutants Chemical Analysis Center; Marine Division; Global Environment and Marine Depertment as part of the CLIVAR_P02.5_2012 data set. The International CLIVAR Global Ocean Carbon and Repeat Hydrography Program carries out a systematic and global re-occupation of select WOCE/JGOFS hydrographic sections to quantify changes in storage and transport of heat, fresh water, carbon dioxide (CO2), and related parameters.

Oceanographic Station Data were collected from bottle casts from the KNORR from 18 May 1972 to 03 June 1972. Data were collected by the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute (WHOI) as part of the International Decade of Ocean Exploration (IDOE). Data were processed by NODC to the NODC standard Oceanographic Station Data (SD2) format. Full format description is available from NODC at www.nodc.noaa.gov/General/NODC-Archive/sd2.html. The Oceanographic Station Data format contains physical-chemical oceanographic data recorded at discrete depth levels. Most of the observations were made using multi-bottle Nansen casts or other types of water samplers. A small amount (about 5 percent) were obtained using electronic CTD (conductivity-temperature-depth) or STD (salinity-temperature-depth) recorders. The CTD/STD data were reported to NODC at depth levels equivalent to Nansen cast data, however, and have been processed and stored the same as the Nansen data. Cruise information (e.g., ship, country, institution), position, date, and time, and reported for each station. The principal measured parameters and temperature and salinity , but dissolved oxygen, phosphate, total phosphorus, silicate, nitrate, nitrite, and pH may be reported. Meteorological conditions at the time of the cast (e.g., air temperature and pressure, wind, waves) may also be reported, as well as auxiliary data such as water color (Forel-Ule scale), water transparency (Secchi disk depth), and depth to bottom. Values of density (sigma-t) sound velocity, and dynamic depth anomaly are computed from measured parameters. Each station contains the measurements taken at the observed depth levels, but also includes data values interpolated to a set of standard depth levels.

The Integrated Science Data Management (ISDM) office processes oceanographic profiles reported for the world oceans in near real-time from the Global Telecommunications System (GTS) for the Global Temperature and Salinity Profile Program (GTSPP). These data also support the activities of the Ship-of-Opportunity Programme Implementation Panel (SOOPIP) and the WOCE Upper Ocean Thermal Program (WOCE UOT).

NCEI Accession 0130644 includes physical and profile data collected aboard the NAVIGATION RESPONSE TEAM 1 during project OPR-J417-NRT1-09 in the Gulf of Mexico from 2009-07-30 to 2011-01-04. These data include SOUND VELOCITY. These data were collected and submitted by the NOAA Office of Coast Survey in support of hydrographic multibeam surveys to meet NOAA charting requirements.

This data set contains sensitive biological resource data for seabirds, diving birds, gulls, terns, and shorebirds in Northern California. Vector points in this data set represent bird nesting and roosting sites. Species-specific abundance, seasonality, status, life history, and source information are stored in relational data tables (described below) designed to be used in conjunction with this spatial data layer. This data set comprises a portion of the Environmental Sensitivity Index (ESI) data for Northern California. ESI data characterize the marine and coastal environments and wildlife by their sensitivity to spilled oil. The ESI data include information for three main components: shoreline habitats, sensitive biological resources, and human-use resources. Gridded (40 m cell size) bathymetry of the slope environment of Rose Atoll, American Samoa, South Pacific. Almost complete bottom coverage was achieved in depths between 10 and 3000 meters. The bathymetry dataset includes Simrad EM300, EM3002D, and Reson 8101ER multibeam data collected during Feb. to March of 2006.
