This data set comprises the Environmental Sensitivity Index (ESI) data for Golfo de Fonseca. ESI data characterize estuarine environments and wildlife by their sensitivity to spilled oil. The Floodplain Mapping/Redelineation study deliverables depict and quantify the flood risks for the study area. The primary risk classifications used are the 1-percent-annual-chance flood event, the 0.2-percent-annual- chance flood event, and areas of minimal flood risk. The Floodplain Mapping/Redelineation flood risk boundaries are derived from the engineering information Flood Insurance Studies (FISs), previously published Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs), flood hazard analyses performed in support of the FISs and FIRMs, and new mapping data, where available. The FISs and FIRMs are published by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

The Total Petroleum System is shown here as a geographic boundary defined and mapped by the geologist responsible for the province and incorporates not only the set of known or postulated oil and (or) gas accumulations, but also the geologic interpretation of the essential elements and processes within the petroleum system that relate to source, generation, migration, accumulation, and trapping of the discovered and undiscovered petroleum resource(s).

To support its work on improvements in flight safety and efficiency for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Lincoln Laboratory established an integrated weather and air traffic decision support facility. The facility features a real-time operations center for various live prototype tests, including the FAA's Corridor Integrated Weather System that provides year-round depictions of storms for aviation traffic flow managers, controller supervisors, airline dispatchers, and other aviation users in the continental United States. The facility is also connected to the FAA's Enhanced Traffic Management System, which supplies flight-track information for all aircraft in the country. Data plots showing the interaction of aircraft with weather at large airports in the northeast are automatically created nightly and available on a website the next morning along with complete archived data from the previous day. Offices for the system monitors are adjacent to the Operations Center, so that staff can quickly access the system for analysis or repairs. Demonstrations, simulations, and large system tests are held in the Air Traffic Management (ATM) Laboratory in the same building. In the ATM Laboratory, extensive live surveillance feeds are available. Systems hosted in this laboratory include the Runway Status Lights system installed at Dallas/Fort Worth and Los Angeles airports, and an air traffic control Tower Flight Data Manager system that provides advanced decision support to enhance the efficiency of arrival, departure, and surface traffic flows. Collocation of the ATM Laboratory with the Enhanced Regional Situation Awareness Development Lab also enables data-driven next-generation architecture studies and concept development for national security issues such as airport security and air security services. The computer room houses a 210-node computer cluster and 300 terabytes of data storage used to keep the real-time systems running, plus another large complement of machines used for analysis

LiDAR data is a remotely sensed high resolution elevation data collected by an airborne platform. The LiDAR sensor uses a combination of laser range finding, GPS positioning, and inertial measurement technologies. The LiDAR systems collect data point clouds that are used to produce highly detailed Digital Elevation Models (DEMs) of the earth's terrain, man-made structures, and vegetation. The work order required the LiDAR data to be collected at a nominal pulse spacing (NPS) of 1.5 meter. The final products include first, last, and at least one intermediate return LAS, full classified LAS and one (1) meter pixel raster DEMs of the bare-earth surface delivered in Esri 10 ArcGrid format.

This coverage includes arcs, polygons and polygon labels that describe U.S. Geological Survey defined geologic provinces of Europe including Turkey. (Albania, Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Serbia and Montenegro, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom and Vatican City.) Each province has a set of geologic characteristics distinguishing it from surrounding provinces. These characteristics may include the dominant lithologies, the age of the strata, and the structural style. Some provinces include multiple genetically-related basins. Offshore province boundaries are generally defined by the 2000 meter bathymetric contour, but where appropriate are defined by the 4000 meter bathymetric contour. In some cases province boundaries are delineated by political boundaries, as in the case of The United States and Canada, because United States petroleum resources were assessed separately by the U.S. Geological Survey. Provinces are classified as either Priority or Boutique. A priority province is one of 76 non-U.S. geologic provinces defined by the U.S. Geological Survey that together contain 95 percent of the world's non-U.S. known petroleum volume. All priority provinces were analyzed for undiscovered petroleum-resources. A boutique province is a geologic province, other than a priority province, as defined by the U.S. Geological Survey, considered for petroleum-resource assessment. Boutique provinces can be chosen for a variety of geologic, political, technical and geographic reasons. Resource-assessments are conducted by research scientists of the U.S Geological Survey's World Petroleum Assessment 2000 by means of a combination of Petroleum System analysis based on available geologic information, and statistical analysis of production and exploration information.

The Digital Flood Insurance Rate Map (DFIRM) Database depicts flood risk information and supporting data used to develop the risk data. The entire population of the Wood River Valley depends on ground water for domestic supply, either from domestic or municipal-supply wells, rapid population growth since the 1970s has raised concerns about the continued availability of ground and surface water to support existing uses and streamflow. To help address these concerns, ground- and surface-water conditions in the area before and during the population growth that started in the 1970s was evaluated. This dataset denotes the boundary for ground-water analysis relating to 2006 hydrologic conditions of the unconfined aquifer. Four of the tributary canyons outlined by this boundary were not included in ground-water analysis for pre-development conditions due to lack of pre-development data in these areas.

The MIND Laboratory facilitates basic and applied research that transitions neuroscience knowledge and approaches from the laboratory to real-world environments. MIND comprises two core elements, the first of which is a multi-chamber and re-configurable experimental space providing state-of-the-art electrically- and acoustically-controlled environments specifically designed for maximizing neurophysiological, physiological, and behavioral measurement capabilities and data acquisition. Facilities in this space support a wide range of tasks for single- and multi-participant, multi-disciplinary, translational neuroscience research efforts. MIND's second core element is a computing laboratory with more than a dozen, 8- and 12-core, large memory capacity Linux workstations and a dedicated multi-core distributed computing server that enables the development, implementation, and utilization of advanced computational and algorithmic approaches. These approaches span the potential utilization of Army high performance computing capabilities to the analysis of the multi-channel, high-dimensional data obtained in the MIND experimental facility.

The 2011 Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) dataset contains the most current TRI data available and reflects toxic chemical releases and pollution prevention activities that occurred at TRI facilities during the 2011 calendar year. You can use this dataset to find out what TRI-covered toxic chemicals are being produced and used at industrial facilities in your local area and how they are being managed. Please note that this dataset will change as the TRI Program continues to process TRI submissions. The TRI Program provides this dataset annually in late July to give the public an opportunity to see the most recent TRI information prior to the publication of the TRI National Analysis report in December. A coastal vulnerability index (CVI) was used to map the relative vulnerability of the coast to future sea-level rise within Gateway National Recreation Area in New York and New Jersey. The CVI ranks the following in terms of their physical contribution to sea-level rise-related coastal change: geomorphology, regional coastal slope, rate of relative sea-level rise, historical shoreline change rates, mean tidal range and mean significant wave height. The rankings for each input variable were combined and an index value calculated for 1-minute grid cells covering the park. The CVI highlights those regions where the physical effects of sea-level rise might be the greatest. This approach combines the coastal system's susceptibility to change with its natural ability to adapt to changing environmental conditions, yielding a quantitative, although relative, measure of the park's natural vulnerability to the effects of sea-level rise. The CVI and the data contained within this dataset provide an objective technique for evaluation and long-term planning by scientists and park managers.

The gravity data (88,514 records) were compiled largely from a state-wide regional gravity study program organized by the California Division of Mines and Geology in cooperation with the U.S. Geological Survey in Menlo Park, California. The data base was received in February 1983. Principal gravity parameters include Free-air Anomalies and Simple Bouguer Anomalies (no terrain correction applied). The observed gravity values are referenced to the International Gravity Standardization Net 1971 (IGSN 71). The gravity anomaly computation uses the Geodetic Reference System 1967 (GRS 67) theoretical gravity formula. The data are randomly distributed within the boundaries of California with a few stations in Southern Nevada.

IAI proposes an innovative collision avoidance radar and communication technology to detect and track both cooperative and non-cooperative targets. The system includes an L-band RF transceiver-sensor package, which continuously transmits Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) compatible beacons to alert other cooperative aircraft and ATC (Air Traffic Control) ground stations regarding the aircraft's position and intent. In addition, it uses the reflected beacon signal as a radar signal to detect and track any non-cooperative targets within its effective range. A multifunctional RF transceiver serves as both the primary radar and secondary surveillance radar (SSR). The phase I effort has successfully demonstrated the concept of this technology in three areas: (1) Adding phase modulation to the 1090 ES carrier and proving it still complies with ADS-B waveform standard, (2) Coherent pulse compression for ranging (3) 3D angular estimation using TCAS-like circular antenna array and using innovative digital beamforming and spatial spectrum processing. In the phase II effort, we will work with commercial partners to build a 'brassboard' system and perform a series of system evaluation tests.
