This data set provides a time series of Landsat Multispectral Scanner (MSS), Thematic Mapper (TM), and Enhanced Thematic Mapper Plus (ETM+) scenes for five (Path/Row) areas in Rondonia, Brazil. The scenes are from the period June 1975 through June 2000, but all areas do not have scenes for all the years. The areas and Landsat Path/Rows included are as follows: Ariquemes (P232,R67), Ji-Parana (P231, R67), Luiza (P231, R68), Cacoal (P230, R68), and Porto Velho (P232, R66). TM images are available for all five areas. Because of a paucity of digital Landsat MSS imagery from the 1970s, only two scenes could be included, a 1975 scene from Ariquemes and a 1978 scene from Ji-Parana. Each of the Landsat scenes has been coregistered to a Path/Row-specific georectified PRODES Landsat file obtained from the Brazilian Government's National Institute for Space Research (INPE) program. For each scene, the coregistration is accurate to within (plus or minus)1 pixel (30-m Landsat resolution) in most places. The five INPE PRODES Landsat scenes used in the georectification process are included with this data set. There are five compressed files (tar.gz format) with this data set. When expanded, each compressed file (which corresponds to one of the five areas) contains a directory for each scene with GeoTIFF files for individual Landsat bands, a text file of tie points, and another text file of slope and intercept values for converting radiance to reflectance. There are two dates for Landsat MSS scenes, 45 dates for TM scenes, and six dates for ETM+ scenes.

Post-cruise download of raw data from shipboard computer(s) as furnished by the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution Shipboard Scientific Support Group and archived by the Marine Biological Laboratory Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution Library for the R/V Atlantis - Cruise 011 Leg 11. These data are part of a collection of ocean observation data from Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution ships OCEANUS (call sign WXAQ; built 1975.00; IMO 7603617), KNORR (call sign KCEJ; built 1970.00; IMO 7738618), and the ATLANTIS (call sign KAQP; built 1997.03; IMO 9105798). The data sets are the downloads of the shipboard computers after an individual cruise. As such, they contain basic raw and processed physical and meteorological data from the cruise. A data set may include XBT, CTD, and XCTD profiles, underway thermosalinograph and atmospheric measurements, gravity and magnetic field measurements, current measurements from ADCP, and still photographs from the Alvin submersible (Atlantis cruises only). Other data types (ROV, nutrients measured from bottle samples, etc.) and photographs documenting the cruise may be included.

This data set contains sensitive biological resource data for diving birds, gulls and terns, seabirds, shorebirds, and waterfowl for the North Slope of Alaska. Vector polygons in this data set represent nesting, brood rearing, migratory staging, and molting sites for birds. Species-specific abundance, seasonality, status, life history, and source information are stored in relational data tables (described below) designed to be used in conjunction with this spatial data layer.This data set comprises a portion of the Environmental Sensitivity Index (ESI) data for North Slope, Alaska. ESI data characterize the marine and coastal environments and wildlife by their sensitivity to spilled oil. The ESI data include information for three main components: shoreline habitats, sensitive biological resources, and human-use resources. See also the NESTS (Nest Points) data layer, part of the larger North Slope, Alaska ESI database, for additional bird information.

The National Data Buoy Center (NDBC) established the Coastal-Marine Automated Network (C-MAN) for the National Weather Service in the early 1980's. NDBC has installed approximately 50 C-MAN stations on lighthouses, at capes and beaches, on near shore islands, and on offshore platforms. NDBC has deployed over 100 moored (a.k.a., weather) buoys in coastal and offshore waters from the western Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean around Hawaii, and from the Bering Sea to the South Pacific. C-MAN and moored buoy data typically include barometric pressure, wind direction, speed and gust, and air temperature; however, some C-MAN stations are equipped to also measure seawater temperature, water level, waves, and relative humidity. Moored buoys measure wave energy spectra from which NDBC derives significant wave height, dominant wave period, and average wave period. In addition, many moored buoys measure the direction of wave propagation. In collaboration, NDBC and the National Oceanographic Data Center (NODC) are archiving these data from C-MAN and moored buoys. This NODC Accession is part of the collaboration and it contains netCDF (version 4) files with the data collected during January 2012.

Temperature profile data were collected from MBT casts from a World-Wide distribution. Data were collected from MULTIPLE PLATFORMS from 08 April 1948 to 14 Decmeber 1968. Data were processed by NODC to the NODC standard Universal Bathythermograph Output (UBT) format. Full format description is available from NODC at www.nodc.noaa.gov/General/NODC-Archive/bt.html. This file format is used for temperature-depth profile data obtained using the mechanical bathythermograph (MBT) instrument. The maximum depth of MBT observations is approximately 285 m. Therefore, MBT data are useful only in studying the thermal structure of the upper layers of the ocean. Cruise information, date, position, and time are reported for each observation. The data record comprises pairs of temperature-depth values. Temperature data in this file are recorded at uniform 5 m depth intervals.

Based on EIA Form-860 data. Data contained in a zip file. The zip file contains generator-specific information such as initial date of commercial operation, prime movers, generating capacity, energy sources, status of existing and proposed generators, proposed changes to existing generators, county and State location (including power plant address), ownership, and FERC qualifying facility status. The file also includes data on the ability to use multiple fuels; specifically, data on co-firing and fuel switching are included.
