The Civil Rights Data Collection, 2004 (CRDC 2004) is part of the Civil Rights Data Collection (CRDC) program. CRDC 2004 (http://ocrdata.ed.gov/) is a cross-sectional survey that collects data on key education and civil rights issues in the nation's public school, including student enrollment and educational programs and services, disaggregated by race/ethnicity, sex, limited English proficiency, and disability. The study was conducted using surveys of LEAs and the schools in the LEAs. LEAs and BOCES-type regional education centers functioning as LEAs were sampled. Prior to 2011-12, charter schools were primarily sampled if they were part of a LEA, not if they were a separate charter school district. For CRDC 2004, the response rates, including partial respondents to the data collection, were approximately 97% of all LEAs (95% of all LEAs responded completely with clean data-which is consistent with the 2002 Elementary and Secondary Survey), and 97% of all schools (94% of all schools responded completely with clean data). Key statistics produced from CRDC 2004 can provide information about critical civil rights issues as well as contextual information on the state of civil rights in the nation, including enrollment demographics, advanced placement, discipline, and special education services.

MODIS/Terra+Aqua Land Cover Type Yearly L3 Global 0.05Deg CMG The Land Cover Type Yearly Climate Modeling Grid (CMG) is a lower spatial resolution (0.05?) product, which provides the dominant land cover type and also the sub-grid frequency distribution of land cover classes. The CMG product (Short name: MCD12C1) is derived using the same algorithm that produces the V005 Global 500 m Land Cover Type product (MCD12Q1). It contains three classification schemes, which describe the land cover properties derived from observations spanning a year?s input of Terra and Aqua MODIS data. The primary land cover scheme identifies 17 land cover classes defined by the International Geosphere Biosphere Programme (IGBP), which includes 11 natural vegetation classes, 3 developed and mosaicked land classes, and 3 non-vegetated land classes. It includes the following three classification schemes, derived through a supervised decision-tree classification method: Land Cover Type 1: IGBP global vegetation classification scheme Land Cover Type 3: MODIS-derived LAI/FPAR scheme Land Cover Type 2: University of Maryland (UMD) scheme Additional layers include a Land Cover Type Assessment SDS, a Land Cover Percent SDS, and a Land Cover Quality Control SDS. Information on each individual MODIS Platform/Product are available at: https://lpdaac.usgs.gov/lpdaac/products/modis_products_table

Published By U.S. Department of Health & Human Services
Issued over 9 years ago
Summary
Description
Overall rates of TBI climbed slowly from 2001 through 2007, then spiked sharply in 2008 and continued to climb through 2010. The increase in TBI rates in 2008 was much sharper for men (nearly 40% increase) than for women (20% increase). In 2007, overall rates of TBI were 26% higher in men compared to women. In 2008, that gap began to widen, reaching 61% in 2009 before narrowing to 29% in 2010. Rates of overall TBI are largely driven by rates of TBI-related ED visits.

Summary
Description
EarthData International collected ADS-50 derived LiDAR over a portion of Hillsborough and Manatee Counties with a one meter post spacing. The period of collection was between 12 January and 20 January 2007. The collection was performed by EarthData Aviation, using a Leica ALS-50 LiDAR system, including an inertial measuring unit (IMU) and a dual frequency GPS receiver. This project required eleven lifts of flight lines be collected. The product generated consisted of LiDAR bare earth elevation models in LAS format. This data set is one component of a digital terrain model (DTM) for the Southwest Florida Water Management District's FY 2007 Hillsborough County - Watershed Management Plan Topographic Information Mapping (L762) and FY 2007 Little Manatee River Watershed Management Plan (L604), encompassing approximately 453 square miles in Hillsborough County and 82 square miles in Manatee County. The 2007 LiDAR data set is comprised of 3-D mass points delivered in the LAS file format based upon the District's 5,000' x 5,000' grid with 505 cells in the Hillsborough area with an additional 91 cells in the Little Manatee area. An additional 12 cells were added to the Hillsborough area. The other DTM component is 2-D and 3-D breakline features in the ESRI ArcGIS Personal Geodatabase format. The breaklines were collected using Aerial photography captured for the Southwest Florida Water Management District FY 2007 Digital Orthophoto (B089) Central District One-foot Orthophoto project. The stream breaklines were the corrected to the hillshade LiDAR data. Contours (2-foot) were generated from the DTM that meet the National Standard for Spatial Data Accuracy (NSSDA) for 2-foot contours (FEMA specifications). Bare earth LiDAR mass point data display a vertical accuracy of at least 0.3-feet root mean square (RMSE) in open and unobscured areas with standard reflective quality.

FUNCTION: Serves as a national testbed to support research in the emerging field of space robotics including autonomous rendezvous and capture, remote assembly operations, and machine learning. DESCRIPTION: Operated by the Naval Center for Space Technology, with strategic support from the Naval Center for Applied Research in Artificial Intelligence, this is the largest dual-platform motion simulator of its kind. It allows full-scale, hardware-in-the-loop testing of flight mechanisms, sensors, and logic of space robotic systems. The simulator also supports the study of other complex relative motion problems. Spacecraft orbit parameters, mass properties, and actuators are modeled in the central computer to enable the simulator to replicate vehicle motion response to external disturbances and internal orientation and position commands. Actuator signals normally going to wheels or thrusters are continually processed to compute incremental force and torque components that force the platform to respond dynamically as a spacecraft would on-orbit. INSTRUMENTATION: A dynamic motion simulator, with dual independent six-degreeof-freedom platforms, provides the ability to test space robotic systems under realistic dynamic and lighting conditions.
